IT’S HERE. Strap your guns and hold on to your hip pouches as the much-awaited remake of the 1998 hit survival horror game Resident Evil 2 is finally released!

After getting teased by the official demo (which is only playable for 30 minutes) released just a few weeks prior, fans can now fully enjoy the limitless horrors of Raccoon City to their hearts’ content. Rejoin the two main playable characters: rookie police officer Leon Scott Kennedy and Chris’ (the main protagonist of the first game) younger sister, Claire Redfield, as they attempt to survive against the horrifying clutches of mutated zombies and ultimate bio-weapons called the Tyrants.

Now with astoundingly better graphics and controls aimed to give the players nothing less than a good scare, Resident Evil 2 Remake is truly living up to the hype and even already gaining several accolades and praises from some of the notable platforms in the gaming industry.

As told by game and entertainment media website IGN in their review, “Capcom did a fantastic job of resurrecting all the best parts of the classic Resident Evil 2 and making them look, sound, and play like a 2019 game.”

The Guardian, a British daily newspaper, even stated that it is “a reminder of how beautifully crafted survival horror games were in their heyday.”

That said, fans are definitely in for an adrenaline-pumping experience.

Better, bolder, darker and yet staying true to its original legacy, Resident Evil 2 Remake has set the bar for future games of the same genre. Although there’s no denying that having great audio-visuals isn’t the most important aspect, it undoubtedly sets the appropriate vibe and character to any game, if done right. Top it off with an exciting gameplay, sensible controls and a fixating story to boot and you’ll have fans clamoring for more.

Resident Evil 2 Remake did that.
